Week 13: Sports Med

This week's sim lab was super cool because we got to apply what we have been learning about the knee the past few weeks in sim because our patient was a post-op day 2 of a total knee replacement. So taking a step away from the physical therapy part of what we've learned about recently, we focused more on the hospital side of it. Which was amazing for me, I absolutely loved it, because this is what I have passion for and am very interested in for my future. We did things like admisterinating medicine to the patient, dressing change, possibly getting the patient up and moving to help their blood flow and breathing, and many more things. This week in med-term we learned about renal/urinary system which was also very fascinating to learn about.
