Week 6: Sports Med

This week was so fun! We got to learn so much new content about the ankle and ankle injuries in sports, and I thought it was so cool to be able to learn about all of this kind of stuff because I have been around/dealing with ankle injuries my whole life. My favorite part of the week was that we got to apply everything we learned about the ankle from all the special tests to the anatomy in sim. Sim was so fun this week because we got to deal with a live patient this week instead of a manican, so it was really cool to deal with that for the first time since last week we dealt with a manican. Aside from all of the ankle stuff, we also got to learn how to suture. I actually got taught last semester, so I got to help teach my classmates and friends which was fun. Another super exciting thing we had this week was the blood drive! We have been working on this for so long so it was such a relief to see it come to life and be so successful! I also donated my own blood for the first time, which was an amazing experience. Read more about it on my experiences page;)
